Introduction: Username and True Personality

Welcome guys! Pretty much my first post so I ought to introduce my personal stories beforehand. It’s a must for me since I didn’t formally published my true identity yet to the online world behind my screen name “raphnix”. Good thing to do for me too since at least a couple of individuals online use the same username also which I think (positively for me) are just coincidence.

Since it was the first subject that pops out, I want to tell you what does “raphnix” really means. It was actually originated from my friend’s random idea and originally spelled as “rapnix” for no particular origin hence only used as silly name for his Counter-Strike plays.

So I asked if I can use the same name though with different spelling for my personal e-mail address (FYI: free emails are rather new that time) since I was to create my first one. He agreed and so I got my first email-username at Yahoo! Mail – raphnix_4. I regret adding _4 in it now from of my lame idea of shallow fun that time (yeah right). Anyway, I started using the same username too (luckily with no more added “accessories”) for my other online accounts.

Basically, my idea of “raphnix”, pronounced as “rough-nicks”, having an h was to sound like “Rough Necks” which was a term from my favorite TV show that time, “Starship Troopers”. It was the first idea that popped to my head when my friend told me that moniker.

That was then the true “legend” of “raphnix” so I will now tell you who’s behind that unique username. My true name is
Jay Baratilla from Philippines and currently works as an SEO specialist at a certain web company. Also, I can do software and DBMS programming since I am from the computer science community.

I would like to hold that introduction there yet to make sure you would be interested for my next posts. I will make more “revelation” about my personality on the next issue of Jay’s Weekly Insights plus some interesting story/stories so check it out next week. Meanwhile try to read my very first article online entitled Apocalypse. My insights there can reveal some of my philosophy in life. That’s all for now till the next post.
